2007 Fall Fling Results
The 2007 Fall Fling event was a success. Hosted by Multicultural Engineering Program at the University of Colorado Boulder, over 280, students, advisors and volunteers participated in the two-day event on November 1st and 2nd. Trebuchet Tip of the Month
The ability to throw the projectile depends on the devices ability to transfer the stored potential energy (PE) of the counter weight to the projectile. The amount of energy available depends on the counter weight and the height it moves during operation. The potential energy can be calculated using the following equation:
PE = mass (kg) x gravity (m/s2) x change in height (m)
